Welcome to “Sea Breeze Awaits” our home by the sea in Golden Beach Victoria. Golden Beach is located in the Gippsland Lakes region half way along the 90 mile beach. When you arrive you will feel the stress of city living roll off your body as you listen to the crash of the ocean and breathe in the salty air. Within 5 minutes of arriving you can be enjoying a stroll or watching the sunset on the pristine sands of the 90 mile beach.
Golden Beach is a small seaside town that includes a general store where you can get all of life’s necessities including groceries, fish and chips, burgers, coffee, bacon and egg rolls and liquor. Nearby is a playground for the kids and a basketball court for those inclined. Head to the beach for miles of untouched sand where you could collect shells, build a sand castle to be proud of, catch a fish, kick the footy, splash in the waves or walk forever. If you are looking for somewhere to get Dinner on Saturday night walk to the local community club and bistro (bookings essential)
If you were wanting an adventure you could travel to nearby Loch Sport for boating activities or a meal at the pub, travel to Sea Spray for a swim at the patrolled beach or a cool beverage at the brand new surf club, or travel to Sale for a movie, do some shopping or to visit the local arts scene at the Port of Sale. There are also many local markets in the surrounding area for local arts and crafts.
The house is basic but comfortable. Think rustic but cosy with comfortable beds and living space, a fully equipped kitchen with full sized fridge and stocked pantry. You are welcome to use anything you find, we just ask if you use something up e.g tomato sauce you replace with a new one or email to let us know. The house is well heated during winter and no need for air con in summer as the sea breeze will keep the house cool overnight. Please take home or discard any food stuffs you bring down, do not leave any perishables behind.
You will find 3 bedrooms with 1 King, 1 Queen and 4 Single beds and 1 bathroom. The house runs on tank water and septic so we ask you to please keep showers brief and only use cleaning products supplied at the house. The tank water is safe to drink but we use a Brita Filtration system in the kitchen to be sure. Doonas and Pillows are supplied on the beds but we ask you to please bring your own linen and towels, if you do use any of the house linen we ask that you launder and dry before you leave. If anything is broken please email to let us know, we understand the house is old and fragile and may at times break. You will find a collection of boardgames, magazines, books and DVD’s for a lazy afternoon.
We very much hope you enjoy our little piece of paradise. When you leave we ask that you leave the house in the same state as you found it with a quick vacuum and wipe down and to please put the bins out (bin night is Sunday) before you leave.
